On 21 December 2017, Geometry Dash Lite was updated to 2.2 with the following:

Removal of limited objects, goes up to infinity.

Colorblind support settings, which show small icons on a portal or jump ring that indicate its effects.

Diamond 'shards' (unofficial name - will be used for the new shop, spendable diamonds, separate from the diamonds that are on your profile that are permanent).

New links in the 'Follow RobTopGames' section for Twitch and Discord.

The 5 shards named above also have a seperate 'Bonus Unlocks' collection, similar to the shards in 2.1.

5 new shards, which are named 'Earth', 'Metal', 'Blood', 'Light' and 'Soul'.

New uses for mana orbs, demon keys and diamonds.

Optimized game, bug fixes and improved performance and framerate, especially on mobile devices.

Loading animation for levels on the play button, as well as a 'cancel' button for when the level takes too long to load.

Two higher level ratings than 'Epic' which give 4 and 5 creator points, termed 'Legendary' and 'Godlike' respectively.

Tons of new icons, including Boomlings, Discord, Among Us, Twitch icons as well as never-before-seen contest winners' icons, and a lot of ultimate icons from the Vault of Secrets' Basement).

The ability to use transition triggers to use Touch or Spawn triggered.

New editor 'auto draw' system that automatically places block designs according to designated templates.

New intelligent block similar to the 'head hit' block but when the block is hit, it switches the gravity.
